The Faces of Life Inspired : David Yee

Having to sit next to a famous celebrity while sipping into a glass of red wine with full of pleasure can be truly an exciting thing to do. This time, I got to meet up with the Life Inspired David Yee and got the chance to sit next to me. From model, to TV host and now a PR Manager of a design college, David Yee has transitioned effortlessly into each role over the years, thanks to his spirit and passion for style and everything design-related. An Australian native of mixed heritage, Yee embarked on a successful modelling career in Sydney in his early twenties.

Roasted Goose Liver with Apricot Chutney and Aged Balsamico Vinegar

I just loved the texture of the roasted goose liver as it had the slight bruned taste while lingered with the sweet apricot chutney. It was amazingly good tht had my pair of eyes running wild with such amazing delight. Here I got to confess that the idea of blanketing the goose liver over the toasted bread was well executed. Whats more, the aged balsamico vinegar enhance the taste just perfectly. I just loved the wine that came with it, the Torbreck The Bothie 2010, lightly sweet with flower scented and criso to my liking, it jived perfectly with the strong flavour of the goose liver. Lovely.

I felt something unique here, a combination of braised wagyu beef cheek with flat wide homemade egg noodle. I found the contrast of two different texture, soft tender while another chunchily tender. I jusyt like the combination, worked so well. Having a red wine is essential, played by pairing the dish with Torbreck Cuvee Juveniles 2009 was very clever, I think. VEry berries taste with a hint of subtle pepper. Nakedly good.

I liked the firm texture of the roasted Atlantic cod and the roasting gave it a boast of flavour which so adoreable while the basil crust was truly slick indeed. Charmed and charmed and it got me deeper with eating desire. Taking a sip of Torbreck Woodcutter’s Semillon 2008 is a must. Try ot yourself and tell me what you think!

I alway enjoyed having a good piece of roasted lamb, here the rack was perfectly oven done. hmmmmm definitely a combi oven done! The pumpkin mash was interesting too but would not be able to stay away from the lovely Torbreck Woodcutters Shiraz 2009, just my type of bottle.

At the end I was so impressed with the gratinated Marsala Wine Sabayon as it was just delicious and ice cream just knew its way to hijack my attention, a perfect finish . . . . . . . .. . it droves me high with delicious wine and good food, Sidney Kan
